    Recommendable keyboards for iPad Air

My old Anker keyboard has just about given up the ghost: a couple of letters are no longer working.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a new one? I have an iPad Air, purchased in 2014.

    Thanks! :)

Are you looking for a cheap lightweight one for travel, or something else? The Apple wireless keyboards should work with the iPad Air.

I used to use the older Apple model wireless keyboards with iPads, though the batteries tended to get stuck if the batteries failed, and the keyboards had to be sent to the dump .

I use a large iPad Pro, and if I had to do a lot of typing I would definitely consider using an Apple keyboard, but it's not really necessary most of the time as we have other computers to use. You are perhaps looking for something cheaper, say £10-£40. Ebay has second hand Apple keyboards which might be suitable. You perhaps want something lighter though, for travel.

Yes, I want something lighter and would prefer not to risk a second hand model. I have a MacBook Pro (2015) model but it's a bit heavy to cart around.

This one looks interesting. Wonder if anyone has any experience of it?

The link is to the Amazon home page, not a specific item.

Seems to get good reviews, and also appears to be the kind of modern design which converts a tablet to a small laptop.
            Very reasonable price, too.

I was not actually looking for such an accessory but now I know of its existence and price, I have just ordered one. I hate the restricted utility of the iPad Air 2 as much as I do all Apple products I have been constrained to use, but this might just extend the Air 2's potential that little bit beyond basic browsing and as a carrier for the Zoom H3-VR's Bluetooth remote control software.

I love Apple produts, it's Applie itself I have a problem with.
