    Alternatives to WeTransfer

Today I have tried to send some large files via wetransfer.com. All 3 appeared to have uploaded successfully but I have not received the usual confirmation emails from them. For a fourth upload, I am trying Firefox Send, but the first attempt stalled, then failed, and a second is taking ages though has not stalled as yet. Can anyone here recommend an alternative 'free' such service?

Firefox Send has again stalled, this time at 54%. Looks like burning to DVD recordable and sending by post is likely to return as a more reliable option for sending large files, in this case, 1.6GB.

Presumably you've investigated some of these?

The largest file I've had through WeTransfer was only 15Mb, so not in the starting class for what you're trying to send.

PS: Oops! Maybe it's only Capterra that's free, not the software.
Sorry. But I did put 'free' in the search!

I often use ' AlternativeTo ' in these type of situations :-

Perhaps one of these might help.

Thanks, the intended recipient has confirmed by email that he has received notification of the download URL but will not be downloading until tomorrow. I will wait until then before attempting to send another. It appears WeTransfer have moved their operation and though they admit to having had some problems with Gmail based email systems, think, quite wrongly, that they have resolved them. As to Firefox Send, it appears to be quite useless. I have now tried to send, using it, four times, and each time it has stalled, then failed.

Probably no help, but if you use a Mac it's handled automatically by Mail. If the recipient is also using a Mac the file appears as an attachment, if they're not a download link is inserted into the email. The file is stored for a limited time on Apple's server.
