The option to update to the new features update to version 1903 arrived on two of my laptops yesterday, the oldest, (i3, 4GB RAM and hard disc based) and the most recent (i7, 8GB RAM and SSD based). The latter updated in a fairly straightforward manner. The former was rather more problematic. The first attempt failed after about an hour with the error code 0xc80003f3. Following Microsoft's suggestion to resolve this failure led to another failed attempt to update. This time the error message was 0x80244018. A third party site recommended turning off all Windows' firewalls prior to updating, then switching them on again after the update. This resolved the problem, though the update did take several hours.
So, if you encounter a similar problem with this latest Windows 10 update, it might be worth trying the same work-round.
I now await opportunities to update other Windows 10 installations. So far, one is stuck on 1803 and insists it's up to date, and another, running 1809, has yet to be offered 1903.
[Thanks to whoever edited the thread title to correct my typo. I had PMed fg requesting such an edit but someone else beat him to it. ]
