Debugging Script - How Do I Restore Forum Page To Correct Format on my Computer?

I think I have used the right terminology in the title but am not sure. Since yesterday when I transferred photos of my holiday from my camera to my Acer laptop, the appearance of websites including this one has not been right. On this site, there is a cross on a small box where people's profile pictures usually are and the written content in topic headings isn't properly boxed. Rather, it comes as lists with a dot before each title. It's all readable - and I can type my inputs - but confusing. And also, I can't seem to use the bigger emoticons.

Does anyone know please how I can fix this please?

…….I hit a few different keys and tried different things.

I seem to have got the word formatting back - and the emoticons - so it is much better but not the pictures.

The box marked "forum" was a deep red when there were more problems and now it is veering between that and a pinker red.

a small box with enclosed X is usually a marker for a non-loaded image - there are many reasons for this - you may have switched off images in your browser tho most modern browsers tend to make this very difficult, if the image is hosted away from the main site you may have blocked access to the image hosting site but without knowing your browser + operating system difficult to suggest remedies
