I've just spent a very frustrating hour trying to reconnect my Epson XP-332 printer - perhaps the worst software/hardware configuration exercise I've come across in a long time. The Epson support pages seem next to useless - and searching for 332 doesn't even come up with an appropriate model number, or indicate (what I suspect is) a model equivalent.
I did eventually get the machine to connect by switching the BT router back to the one it was previously connected to.
There also doesn't appear to be any current support for MacOS High Sierra - though it's been working with this printer and computer before. Probably doesn't really matter anyway.
Now the thing seems to have decided to go into paper jam mode, and so far no attempts to put paper in it and get it fed through cleanly have failed.
I have put two printers (one HP, one Canon - both previously very good) on the dump this year. Now this one looks like it's going the same way despite only being about 18 months old. The stupid thing is that a very much older Epson model, an 830U, which is not wireless, only has USB connection and is simply a printer, not a scanner or other fancy gizmo - and is generally not terribly good (it doesn't produce printouts good enough for airport boarding passes - which is a real hassle) - is still working after considerably more than a decade.
The paper jam problem is a real paper jam - not the fake ones when there is no paper actually jammed - though we've had that problem as well with printers. The printer itself seems to cause the jam - not sure why. Any suggestions, or do I just have to take this one down to the dump to join its earlier compatriots?
