All fine via Taster here again... but extra-musical pressures forced me to miss Prom Part one anyway....
Still the next two nights are Proms Doldrums for me so...maybe some HDs catch-up on Dusapin and Birtwistle....Last edited by jayne lee wilson; 19-07-17, 19:47.

Spurred on by the very real improvement in audio quality offered by this feed and the recommendation of board members for Total Recorder (not to mention its relative cheapness) I purchased said item of software yesterday. 24 hours, and several emails to their support desk later and am still waiting for my registration code.

Sir Velo,
These things are usually automated. It's always possible that their system has fallen over but, if you haven't already done so, it is worth checking:
- did you receive any e-mail from them?
- have you looked in your junk mail folder?
- when you bought Total Recorder, is it possible that you used a different e-mail account to the one that you are checking?
- is it possible that you typed in an incorrect e-mail address? If so you will need to e-mail them with the details.
Yes, I know, this is probably a case of "teaching your grandmother to suck eggs".

Thanks John - good points all, and ones I did make sure I double checked!
I will wait until Monday before pursuing them. Being based the other side of the pond makes phoning more problematic (not to say expensive!) but will be done if needs be.
Unfortunately, I made the schoolboy error of paying by debit card - these days, I prefer paypal but the site didn't offer that alternative, which perhaps says something...
All very disappointing, as I was looking to record the Fidelio and the re-run of Benedetti's much lauded Shostakovich VC1 on Sunday. Perhaps the hopelessly complex looking VLC option will need to be explored.

My guess is that it is extremely unlikely to recommence at the exact moment it broke off because of the length of the break (there must be some some timeout with the BBC FLAC Player. In any case refreshing the screen would probably have created a new "session".
