Quicktime Player is a program which can be used in Mac OS X to make screen recordings of progams being used.
How could one make a video recording of Quicktime Player being used - without using a video camera externally?
Presumably it is possble to use Quicktime Player to record Final Cut Pro X being used - or maybe not!
Indeed - that does work.
PS: I use Quicktime Player in this way to make explanatory video recordings, but the file sizes are rather large, so afterwards I compress them to something much more reasonable with hardly any obvious loss in quality, using Handbrake.
