This is wacky - wooden records!

Seems to be a curious, but perhaps pointless, challenge - http://www.instructables.com/id/Laser-Cut-Record/

The quality is pretty dire, though the techniques used to get to the end points probably required some considerable brain ache, and ingenuity.

Perhaps could be used for a Hugh Wood special edition ... though maybe not!

I was wondering what else could be recorded.

        Maple Leaf Rag, perhaps?

        Under the Linden Tree

        Ombra mai fu

will the less good early efforts could be elaminated ?
might be a good promotional idea for the Saw Doctors, or one of their splinter groups, to use.

It's probably not going to take root unless they branch out into other genres.

I hadn't twigged that. Perhaps this might be a different genre - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv_WJCv_Xyg

Perhaps the root of the limited audio quality is the use of Underground associated source material.

                      Heart of Oak?

Plus anything from Beecham! (For better sound quality try Elder.)

                        Rameau - and indeed Couperin

These discs might play on an acoustic gramophone...

...with a thorn needle of course

And lots of Bach - Brandenberg Tree, for example.
