    Spotify problem update

I have been suspicious of Spotify for a long while, and reported here before. Particular concern is for my MacBook Pro, which gets hot and the fan comes on.

    Now we see this ...http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-37950627

Thanks for that link Dave. Very interesting.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Yes, that is interesting, thank you for posting.
      Fixed in 1.0.42 allegedly.
I have 1.0.42.151.g19de0aa6 which I'm hoping is the right build version of that version.
      Other long standing issues:
1 using messaging 'properly' without having to resort to FB, restoring the ability to send to people from ALL platforms supported not just MacBook and, perhaps at the same time, reinstating that useful feature where a shared item was actually flagged up as 'to-be read'. As in most/all messaging systems.
2 the product behaving the same across all platforms supported. Having the same UI may be a good start.

I fear neither of these are high on the developers list... not revenue related.

The problem I have with Spotify is on my Windows phone - it doesn't work at all, it just hangs when i try and play a piece. I emailed them about this (several times) and I'm fairly sure this isn't high on their priority list either...the emails from them always sound like they are trying to be helpful but are a little to chummy for my liking - especially as they don't know me from Adam.
It works perfectly on my Windows laptop and my Kindle.
        Best regards,
        Jonathan

tht's pretty interesting. I had noticed that on my mobile phone Spotify seemed to eat more battery life than amazon's mp3 app or Apple Music.
I think I will cancel Spotify, now that I am using Apple, but on the Spotify site, I don't see a 'cancel' button...
