Yesterday I found I had no images on the Radio 3 site. They come from an https connection to a BBC site, and attempting to connect directly I found my browser told me that the certificate had been revoked. The same was true if I tried to log in. This happened on one machine only. On another machine I had no problems. On the problem machine it upset Chrome, MS Edge and Internet Explorer (I did not try Opera of Firefox.)
It seems the cause was some work done by Globalsign who sign the BBC certificates. From their explanation here https://www.globalsign.com/en/custom...ocation-error/ it seems the problem may be around for 4 days or so.
If it hits you, try the solutions here: https://support.globalsign.com/custo...ticles/1353318
This fixed Chrome for me, but not IE or Edge.
Today, they all work. Maybe the BBC has done the complicated work suggested here: https://support.globalsign.com/custo...shooting-guide. I'm glad that's not something I need to do!
Because the errors may be slowly working their way through various cached copies , the issue may pop up for a few days and once it is cached on your computer it may stick around for a bit in which case the suggested solution above may be useful.
