looks at tho the Mickey$oft testing misses obvious edge cases - good job few critical services such as health care depend on such well tested software.

It seems much of healthcare relies on the very well tested XP!

Fortunately, I had no such problems, though I did back up before the updates, just in case.

I wonder if Microsoft is trying to migrate most apps to be only available through the MS Store. Foobar now has a MS app, and if the software developer ceases work on freestanding versions, or MS make them too difficult to use, we may find ourselves in another "walled garden".
Such a pity, as I find the core audio parts of Windows 10 to be very good. It's the perpetual "improvements" that are such a pain, like dropping DLNA (streaming to internet radios) for something more advanced that the radios cannot handle.

Seems I may be caught after all, with support for Windows 7 being withdrawn in January 2020, aw shucks!

I presume we will still be able to use the internet, and that the only difference will be no updates? Never having noticed any difference I could live with that.

Security risk, though I believe. May get stuff on your computer you don't want.
