      had a quick look. can only assume they have identified a high end market for a top class e reader, not being satisfied by ipads.

      I think they are going to need luck with that.

        There are some situations where a Kindle is better than a tablet - outdoors in bright light for example - but I won't be upgrading my Paperwhite anytime soon.

            Yes, excellent observation. I didn't think of that. The lack of a colour screen makes the price even more insane.

              Maybe it is going to be very good. At that price I'd hope it could make tea, and pour out drinks as well.

                  I have a Kindle Voyage which I adore. Far superior to a tablet and so good in sunshine. But I thought the price for that, about £180, was bloody rip-off.

                    Buttons for page turns? My Kindle Paperwhite manages to turn pages without buttons, which is surely even more ergonomic. Or am I missing something? - Hmm, probably.
