    It's very odd that the CD sides of both discs are rejected by my Meridian player with the message 'No disc ' coming up every time I try. The audio on the DVD is OK, but I don't really want to be looking at the TV screen while listening to it.

    I think I'll just watch the documentary about restoration and call it a day.
    I have recently added a Teac CD recorder to my system, because I tired of using a computer to burn CDs. It will take a direct digital feed but also an analog feed. I was able to record the analog feed from the preamp from one of my DVD Audio discs. Perhaps you may find someone with such a setup? The disc btw is marvelous, a really edge of the chair performance. Perhaps another CD player can read the CD side.
