Using Firefox 43.0 with OSX - usually a double click on the tab bar opens a new tab, but this morning it just keeps minimising the window. Could I have changed some setting inadvertently?

Okay - I'll just have to get used to clicking the plus sign positioned to the right of the latest tab (which I think I used to do before discovering that quickly double-clicking anywhere on the bar had the same result.It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal.
