    Indeed. I had a pair, and so did my dad. I think I've got both now still - though the foam surrounds have completely given out. They require quite a bit of power I think also, and came with a large jack plug. Some equipment from the 1970s was able to drive them, and they sounded pretty good. I tried to get one set to work a few years ago, but I couldn't drive it hard enough to get a good result. Resurrecting those is probably yet another project I'll never finish.

      I too still have a pair of Stax electrostatic (circular ones) light and comfortable and still sound great. You could always treat yourself to a pair of Sennheiser Orpheus phones at £30,000! http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/...0000-expensive
