Did you find your files and were they "hidden"?

Nope.
I should have mentioned that I have dealt with Apple Soupport on this twice. Once they scanned my Computer remotely and tried all kinds of tricks to find them.
I wasn't really expecting any one here to help me find them. I just wanted to vent. I thank all for for suggestions.
I am trying a new product called Bluesound, which rips and stores the CDs or downloads, and also solves the whole home audio issue. It is a Sonos like product that unlike Sonus will play high resolution content. It also does Internet Radio
And I can play the iTunes files from my Hard Drive through it, and I control it with an iPad and my Android phone. The price is reasonable. I will post a review in a few more weeks after I get more experience with it
