If I were king, I'd ban mobile phones totally. They're a bad influence on human beings, on those who use them and on those who suffer from other people's use of them.

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I don’t use the ‘Forum link’ thing (if by that you mean the chain-link symbol in the myriad options available above draft messages here in the Forum)

If you paste the code (as copied from ImgBB) directly into your draft message, it works for me on iOS

It's all far too complicated for my technical abilities which is why I never post any pictures. It's incredibly easy to do on Facebook and just wish it was so simple on here.

I think the URL you're using is a link to a webpage rather than an image...
If you go to that URL & right-click on the image, you can find out the image's actual URL... which is https://i.ibb.co/hx6M1qy/IMG-1579.jpg

Then, you just need to type [img] & [/img] tags around the URL for the image of Frank Lloyd Wright's square music stand to appear.

Try popping this text in to a post...
          Code:
          [img]https://i.ibb.co/hx6M1qy/IMG-1579.jpg[/img]

Well, just testing. I see that icon wot that french frank indicated. I copied the url where it said and as the automatic size looked about right I clicked on OK. And the image appeared. Now I shall Preview ... and post.

So all you need is a filesharing site which will give you a url. As I said earlier, I use the library of my abandoned wordpress blog.

Yes, that's right. You have to have a url for the image itself, which is why people have to upload the image to a filesharing site (used to be photobucket, then imgur, now something else) which will then generate the url needed. That's the complicated bit. Once you have the url, posting the picture on the forum is a doddle.

Sometimes you can get a url on a website by right clicking on the image, but that doesn't always work.
