YouTube .... oddity

Oddly when I look at this using my 1st generation iPad I can play the video and hear the quartet by Franz Lachner. "What's special about that?" you may say. Since around April this year I've not been able to play YouTube videos easily on my now vintage iPad without a workaround. So what has happened by embedding the video into a post on this forum which makes it playable on that device?

I can't really offer any suggestions. I have a similar 'anomaly' regarding some emails that I receive with attached pictures. They arrive in my Apple Mail Inbox OK and the images work fine. Yet, when I try to forward them to my wife, I sometimes get the mail returned by my ISP with cryptic comments such as 'MIME packets unsuitable' or 'too many embedded ....'. Other times the mail gets through but any images get converted to a hex dump.

I'm never really sure what route my outgoing emails take - whether they exit into the wider internet from the SMTP server at my ISP or via my domain (which is the incoming address for my emails).

I put these questions into the 'Too Hard' folder.

Mr GG introduced me to this video over on facebook. As I said over there it reminded me of the time, must have been early 2018, I was at an erstwhile friend's and we were taking it in turns to play music. I played La Terre est un Homme and he decided he'd make techno out of it - basically, chop it up and repeat bits. I ended up throwing up - though that might have been something I'd taken.
