Thank Bryn, that's useful to know.

I’ve read on Audiophile sites that Amazon doesn’t pair well with most streamers. However, if you are going to use a computer or an Amazon app from a mobile device that won’t be an issue.
I had purchased a lot of mp3s from Amazon years ago. Bargains such as Krips /LSO Beethoven cycle for $5. When I try to listen to them now the Amazon app drives me crazy. It is devoted entirely to trying to get me to purchase the streaming service (even though as a Prime Member I already have it) and constantly pushes new popular music at me. The Library tab is almost unfindable
and then works poorly. I have read complaints from many others.
The app for streaming service is a large determinant of the experience. I give Amazon a big thumbs down. The designer should be sent into space on Bezo private rocket

We're such a minority. To commerce, outside the recorded music production depts, all music replay is "tracks".

You Tube music replaced Goole Play, and it was a dog's dinner and has only improved a little. About to say goodbye. I'm using/trying Idagio (Berlin based) - real human replies to emails, flac stream. I came across it because it has the Blomstedt Leipzig Bruckner cycle - missed the boat on that set of discs, and now it goes at mega £££/ $$$

Longterm Prime user, I trialled Amazon Unlimited (HD Music) via the TV Firestick earlier this year....I found the user interface very unhelpful, uninformative, and difficult to navigate compared to Qobuz/Audirvana's elegant godsend of Classical Simplicity....(no problem with "tracks" there.... with all the albums, and most of the booklet notes, lined up for your perusal, and excellent search facilities for a vast catalogue....)

At the time, I would have had to pay more to continue with actual Amazon Unlimited HD.... but things change rapidly in this field....so be careful to check that free trials don't become subscriptions...

As a fan mainly of classical music I think I would probably opt for Qobuz but it is a non-starter for me because it doesn't pair up over our WiFi network with my streamer/tuner and thence to amp and main speakers. Hence Spotify ... which I can also play on my bedside Roberts 93i.

Did Spotify go lossless yet like they promised? ("Spotify HiFi")...

Not yet in the UK afaik - at least it hasn't reached me if it has.
