Amazon has entered the UK streaming market with the launch of Prime Music, a new service available to Amazon Prime customers as part of their annual £79 subscription.
"Amazon's library of one million songs is not on par with Apple or Spotify, which each boast more than 30 million tracks." However, I am already a Prime customer - I joined for the "free" delivery - so it is not costing me any more, at least for the time being. I was pondering the other day if I will stay with Prime when the subscription comes up for renewal. There is almost nothing in the Prime video library which I want to watch but, from a first look, the music appears a lot better even if there are only a million tracks! Typing "Finzi" into the search field brought up a lot of recordings and I am currently enjoying the Williams/Burnside recording of Earth and Air and Rain
