What a relief to read this post. I had 'speed issues' all last week, which made most websites unviewable. My phone-line computer experts did something mysterious a day or so ago and all seemed to be back to normal. The slowness of this site this morning (including a double posting) made me think I could be going back to square one. Thanks to Caliban and Alison for reassuring me.Comment

Maybe later, anyway. Smileys still seem to take a while to come up, so had to resort to the codes, but maybe it is still a local link issue.
The actual post panel and preview does seem to work reasonably fast now. Smileys a bit erratic though on my iPad - sometmes fast enough, but sometimes seem to lock up.Comment

I wonder if your computer has mysteriously altered the screen size to something only slightly different than normal so you might not notice? This happens to me all the time when I am viewing this forum but never on anything else. It often increases the screen size to 105% without warning making the letters look different.
