What's the best way to back up my Time Machine files as I'm getting this message:



I have two other external drives for ordinary data back-up, one will be much too small, the other is one Tb - no idea whether that will hold all the TM files.

(Have to say I'm not much exercised by the thought of losing all the TM files as I never have much use for them anyway)

I would get another external drive

1TB should be fine unless you have epic numbers of movies or uncompressed audio files

You can run Time Machine on more that one drive - each contains a full backup. I'd get another drive and wait until the Time Machine backup has finished on that drive, then ditch the other one.

Time Machine is great for recovering that file you deleted a few days ago but for anything else....as MrGG says...Super Duper. Fingers crossed it's all OK. This is the second time as I recall you having woes?
