Very nearly had a possible use for one of those smallish chargers recently on a long distance train journey. The lights and power sockets on the train failed in the carriage we were in and one of us had forgotten to charge up all the portable devices. I was just about to deploy the battery unit when the train staff suggested moving to another carriage, which turned out to be satisfactory. Some very frequent rail travellers may be familiar with this kind of thing. If this is likely to happen a lot I could be persuaded to buy a more chunky unit.
