    R3 320kbps 'HD' partial backtrack

After sustained pressure from listeners and manufacturers the BBC is re-establishing the old R3 320kbps AAC-LS stream as a transitional measure, but only on the Shoutcast network.

It has even published the URL for the feed:

    Code:
    http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/5/select/version/2.0/mediaset/http-icy-aac-lc-a/format/pls/vpid/bbc_radio_three.pls
    It seems to work!

I didn't want to split the "Goodbye to HD Radio (for the moment)" thread (where I have also posted the information) but thought it worth highlighting this change in case some of those affected missed my original post.

Thanks, johnb. Not the first time that the BBC has responded when there has been a protest about sound quality changes.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
