About a week ago I mentioned the BAL on Holst's Planets being worth listening to. I meant to revisit this, and even record it - since I think my usual recording on my PVR hasn't been working - I'd have to check. I forgot, so today I downloaded the podcast instead, which in fairness sounds reasonably OK.
Since I really wanted this one for the insight provided by David Owen Norris I don't think I've lost too much by this, but does anyone know what quality level there is on the R3 podcasts for CD Review, and perhaps also other programs, such as COTW? The COTW podcasts are less good than the original programmes, because they are an edited (much shorter) version of the original 5 hours or so of airtime, but the CD Review podcasts, though edited slightly, seem comparable in length to the BAL section which is broadcast each week.
