What has happened to the R3 iplayer?

When I click "Listen now" it says "This content doesn't seem to be working". When I click "Listen in pop-out player" it says:

    The sound of silence

We're trying to play this station, but we're having problems. Apologies.
The station's stream may be broken, or there may be a mis-match between this stream, and your device.
Fortunately, there's another way of listening. Download our free app, and put Radioplayer on your phone or tablet.

It's working for me right now. At least, I think it is. There are some very weird sounds, but it is Jazz on 3.

So we now have Opera on 3 without either vision or sound?

I couldn't get it to work last night.

And this morning it's the same.

Strange. Still working fine for me.

Jean, are you getting the same problem, with a big box saying "The Sound of Silence"? It would be really reassuring to know that it's not just me.

Working for me as well. Seems odd.

I didn't get further that This content doesn't seem top be working - I can't find the pop-out player button any more.

No problems here. What route are you taking to try an access the programmes? Does the link below work for you, for instance (even if it's not a programme that you were interested in):

Jez Nelson presents composer and guitarist Elliott Sharp playing at the Vortex jazz club.

I click on one of the "Schedule" pages. Then click on a particular programme. Usually I then click on the "Play in pop-out window" button; this brings up the bizarre "Sound of Silence" window. If instead I click on the "Listen now" button (to the left of the pop-out button), it just says "This content doesn't seem to be working".

I will try your link this evening when I get home.

One other thing that may be relevant - this is happening on BOTH my computers at home. I just tried on the office computer; no problem.

I usually access what I want to listen to from this page:

Then I click schedule and go to the programme I want, which appears in the same format as the link Bryn gives.

But when I click the link in Bryn's post, it gives me the same This content doesn't seem to be working message as I've been getting for all programmes since yesterday.

Hmm. I wonder if it might be an ISP problem, rather than something at the Beeb. Still no problem here. Plays straight of without even a hint of a hitch whether listening on demand or live.

I've just tried via the 'Schedule' and then the programme, and it all works fine. I never see any option of 'pop-out window', just a 'Listen Live' button to the right and a 'LIVE' button within the left of the picture. Either of them starts the player in a small separate window, which is the only way I've ever seen it work.

This happens identically in IE8 and Chrome.

If you click on a programme title, the rectangle with one bold outline square overlaid on another, less bold, square opens the pop out player when the cursor is placed over it. This 'pop out' button is square in shape for listen live, and a vertically aligned rectangle next to the main play button for 'Listen Again'.
