I always use Sounds for catching up programmes on R3 and R4, running the latest firefox on a 2014 MacPro. I never ever have a problem with it via this implementation...

Using two different i7 based Windows laptops, the only problems I get with Sounds are down to occasional wifi dips and ISP failures. There again, I only very rarely listen via Sounds at the time of broadcast.

Since installing the above update, programmes keep pausing every few minutes. This applies both when listening live and on demand. Before the update everything was fine. I note that other users are experiencing the same problem

I have submitted a fault report to the BBC and await their response.
I forgot to try first the simple method of dealing with technological problems.

I turned the phone off and then on again. I uninstalled the Sounds app and reinstalled it. Everything now appears to be oojah-cum-spiff.

And does anyone have a more direct line?
I have found several times that the last few minutes of a lunchtime concert get the chop on Listen Again, probably done by computer, but after a few days the missing bits are restored, without me having do complain.

Yes, at one time I used to get somewhat frustrated at this and resorted to using get_iplayer to save the item and the following programme of that day, then editing the end of the lunchtime concert in place, using mp3directcut. The was usually a considerable overlap to edit from. Then, as you mention, I found that very often the iPlayer team got round to correcting the automated edits and reposted the results online.

BBC Sounds on iPad running IOS 9.3 has a known problem, which has occurred before - no Play button appears.
