I go to Logitech Media Server as usual on my laptop, it goes as far as the page where all the radio stations are listed, but when I click on Radio 3, I get 'there was an error loading the remote feed for (404 not found)'. I'd be very grateful if anyone has any idea what has gone wrong...
BBC iplayer not playing on Squeezebox

Are you using the Third Party Plugin "BBC iPlayer"? (Originally created by "Triode" but now developed/maintained by "bpa")
I use that plugin myself and currently it plays live streams but has the "404" error when the plugin attempts to access On Demand streams.
It appears that the BBC have changed things but "bpa" is currently working on an update to the "BBC iPlayer" plugin that will address the issue.
Keep an eye on this thread on the Logitech Squeezebox forum:
This is (currently) the last page of the thread: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...924#post920924

Firstly, I am assuming that you are using "Triode's" BBCiPlayer third party plugin. If that is not the case the following is irrelevant.
"bpa" has just released an updated plugin and, from a very quick check, it seems to cure the problem.
The new update is V1.6.0.
If you have been using an older version of the plugin you might have to update the repository for bpa's plugins.
I suggest you check LMS to see is there is an "updated Plugin Available" for BBCiPlayer (author: Triode) version 1.6.
If it doesn't show up, check that you have this third party repository at the bottom of the plugins page
Code:http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/betarelease-repo.xml
bpa's post giving much fuller details is: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...l=1#post920986
Let me know if you have any problems or if what I have written seems totally incomprehensible. Of course you can also post details of any problems on the slimdevices/Logitech Squeezebox forum to request their assistance (they are very helpful).
By the way, which version of LMS are you using?

Ah success! It is now working. Thanks ever so much for your help.
I noticed somewhere it promised a feature that would enable you to go direct to a particular segment of a programme. I can't see that anywhere, e.g. I always want to go to Building a Library, or some other feature, not listen to the whole of Record Review. At present I just click on the bar, trying to guess where it will come in the programme. Are you able to find and use this feature of the plug-in?

I'm glad that everything is now working again. Not bad (community based) 'customer service' for a device that was discontinued around 7 years ago!
If you need to find the version of LMS that you are running:
- Open LMS in your web browser, as usual
- Click on "Settings" (bottom left hand corner)
- Click on the "Information" tab
- The LMS version is displayed on the first line
I only asked about the version because, if you use LMS to access music on your hard drive and if you haven't updated your LMS in many years, you might find it useful to update to version 7.9. It is significantly better than the old versions of LMS issued by Logitech.
(By the way - if you use an iPad, the "iPeng 9" app is an ideal way to control your Squeezebox. )

1.5.4 also has an additional item in the More menu - "Segment Times" - if a On-Demand program has segment times (e.g. different pieces in a concert, tracks played during a long show) - the segments are shown and if selected player will jump to that segment.
I confess that I'm not sure what the "More menu" is, but it might only be displayed if the segment information exists in the stream.
[Later Edit]
I think I now know what the "More Menu" is.
If you use the LMS web interface and, say, browse a list of albums - as you pass the mouse over the entries there are four icons that appear to the right:
Heart: save to favorites
Rt Arrow: play
Plus: add to current playlist
"M": more <--- this is the More Menu and gives further options
However, the "M" icon doesn't currently appear with the BBC programmes, which is probably because there is no programme segment information being provided by the BBC.Last edited by johnb; 23-09-18, 21:33.
