Noticing the high quality of the audio on televised Proms available on demand for 30 days on the iPlayer, I thought I'd check the audio data rate. For the HD stream it turns out to be the same rate as Radio 3 HD Sound, i.e. 320kpbs AAC-LC. No wonder it sounds so good.
