    Good point. That is possibly why a filter was considered. Not being affected here I had forgotten all about the 4G problem.

      A pop up has been appearing across my TV screen first thing for the past few days, warning me I may have to re-tune my favourite channels today as the broadcasting settings are being changed. BBC1 and Ch4 seem to be OK without action from me - I'll have to check the rest.

        The 'professional' went up on the roof today. He had thought the aerial he could see looked ok, but it turned out it wasn't ours after all - ours was round the other side of the chimney, the connexions quite rusted, and with a metal plate broken.

        So now we have a new aerial and everything seems fine.
