Help - my iPlayer's gone all Gaelic....

Without so much as a by-your-leave, nor as far as I can tell any change in settings by me, I now see the iPlayer (accessed on Safari / OS 10.9.5) like this:





I cannot find any setting change which would persuade the site that I'm not in the Outer Hebrides...

Any tips, techies?

Not sure. If you go right to the bottom of the iPlayer page (www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer) there's an option to change location. I just tried it, but I didn't get Gaelic. I reverted after a few minutes to the SE.

However, I did find this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-37477229 There is mention of some change "from Tuesday" (requiring postcode information) - but is that today, or next week?

I note that you show the radio pages. Maybe you need to change the location in the iPlayer page, then access the radio pages. I agree there is no obvious way of changing the details on the radio pages.

Thanks both. Had a look, and just tested by re-registering using an alternative email address, carefully specifying my London postcode....


... and now even the bloody news is in Gaelic!!

Good idea - might you be able to compare yours with the image below and let me know which word means language?

It's above that black line, Cali. In the middle is Change language.
I think it's Atharraich cànan: Gàidhlig

or

Athraigh teanga: Gaeilge

One or the other will sort it for you.

In your first post on the top line above the red "panel", to the left of "i-Player", there's a drop-down bar called "Tuilleadh" - this is Gaelic for "Change" - if there's an option for "chananan" (= "languages") that might work?
