I agree, it's very useful.
Agree, it's very useful. Unfortunately, I've only managed to locate a negative reply to that one. It's an old query, but I've searched the settings and can't see anything.

With tabbed browsers now, I often find I have two forum tabs open, and if I've taken a long time to write something I sometimes check for new posts under the alternative tab. I generally prefer to give steer to the post I'm replying to with a shortish quote and cope with any new points via an edit or a new post.

Sorry, can't be more helpful on that!
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I may have cracked my size problem! I've just changed a setting in IE that I thought by past experiments on other web sites had no effect on anything: View/Text Size from Larger to Medium.
I have temporarily reset my Forum General Setting back to WYSIWYG, which was where it was during the recent troubles.

I’m now pasting this in from Word (which before was, unbeknown to me, resulting in minuscule print in the eyes of everyone else).

Can someone please tell me if all of this post looks the same, or is there still some variance in text size?

Don - your first few lines appear here at 'normal' size.
Your last two lines/sentences appear a couple of points smaller...

Many thanks, vint. I'll go back to where I was then, which was working OK. Just thought I might have found something, as the immediate symptoms did seem to go away at my end!
