    GMT

Back to GMT. Until now, the Forum displayed the correct time without my doing anything but this time, it still has not changed. I have checked my account but could not find (did not understand) where I could go to change the time. I know this has come up before but if someone could tell me, I’d be grateful.

P.S. Ah… I’ve just realised that it shows the correct time when I am logged in. This seems to be new. Is there any way I can keep the correct time when I am not logged in? I don’t log in when I am just reading the posts.

I thought this was going to be some ridiculous nonsense about how much money we "loose" by changing our clocks

I'd love it if some money could be "loosed" as long as it decides to run in my direction!

the B/B runs on American time(and they are behind Europe in this as in many other things) + probably servers (that way they can get anyone of the seceral known commies on this board extradited to stand before the new Romney un-American activities committee come next Jan)

It happens every year! I can't remember whether we just wait for it to synchronise with US time or whether I can reset it. I haven't found a way a getting it to reset automatically.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

It never happened to me before but this time, what puzzles me is that the time is correct when I am logged in but not when logged out. Come to think of it, the clock on my PC went back to something like 1st January 2001 a few months ago. I managed to fiddle it back but that may have upset something. Ah well, I’ll just remember that we have eternal summer on the Forum.

if anyone can find the threads related to this from last March and the previous October the answer may lie there

previously ff [or one of the staff ] has very cleverly done something to make logged-on and logged-off times synchronise

I remember being the first to reach 1000 and later the first to reach 2000.
Seem to have gone off the boil since then.

I think the clock should be right now for logged in members and guests. Someone try to remember that I have to alter the Date & Time Options each time the clocks change, please ...

And we're going to have to go through the drama again soon with me forgetting what the setting should be. Just make sure your phones are correct - assuming no one wears a watch any more (except me )

                              Correct assumption, in my case

Pulling the phone from a breast pocket to check the time often feels a similar gesture to pulling out a fob watch c. 1840...
