    Proms programme notes

Has anyone worked out how to download Proms programme notes? They aren't in Acrobat format, & when I right-click on them I'm offered the option of downloading a video. When I try, it says that it isn't downloadable.

This was an interesting question! I know it's rather late now; but doesn't anyone have an answer?

Highlight the text you want, copy it and paste into something like Word or Open Office Writer. Simples.

Not really - it would be if it was a 'simples' single page, but a rather tedious & long-drawn-out procedure for, say, sixty pages Why they couldn't just have done them in pdf I don't know, unless it's deliberately to prevent them being downloaded & saved alongside ones recording of the concert?

It appears that not all Prom programme notes are still available online. However, many are. For instance, those for Beethoven's 4th Symphony are easily captured following the method I described, as are others.

[O.K., there seem to be rather fewer Proms programme notes still available than I thought. However, here are those for Beethoven's 7th.]

I have all those [now 10-year old] "BBC Proms Pocket Guide to ........." orchestral music/symphonies/concertos etc. published by Faber & Faber which started life as Proms programme notes. It would be nice if they published some more volumes for lesser known works.
