Not sure I totally understand where and when you want to bold the title. But the only way I know is to highlight it first, then click on the formatting 'B' just above the message window. But everything in your message is already [B], so you must have figured that out.

Which bit of this message did you want to be [B]?

[Edit: I think the reason you don't see it in bold is because only the posts you haven't read are in bold (to indicate you haven't read them). According to that, your threads will never be in bold on the What's New? view, because by definition you've already read them.]

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Thank you french frank for the attempt to answer my poorly written question.

        Above is an example.

When I read the "What's New" some titles are bold others are not.

See the middle entry. That as well is not in bold. The first and last here are bold.

Really, french frank, a question such as this can patiently wait for an answer.

To be quite honest, why would anyone want new threads to be emboldened? It surely makes a mess of reading the MB? A bit like the Ratings stars, totally unnecessary.

Anna, I do understand where you are coming from. I was just trying to keep it a uniform look as the majority are emboldened.

The explanation I gave is the correct one. What you see on What's New? is slightly different from what anyone else sees. The bold titles mean you - Sigolene Euphemia - haven't yet read those posts. By definition, all your own threads will be light, not bold, because you can't start a thread without having read it. The same thing happens for everyone. We all see a mix of light and bold titles, depending on which ones we've read.

Many thanks french frank. Quite my own denseness through the ether. And once again for getting this all up and going. It is much more fascinating than the old BBC radio3 messageboards. So many are creating games to play, a bit like parlour games on the FoR3 since most of us have moats of ice keeping us inside at the laptop.
