I've asked it before and I'll ask it again (albeit almost certainly with no likelihood that anyone in authority will take notice) - why oh why do we have still to put up with this twice-annual farce of adjusting the clocks by an hour? OK, it's not such a pain as once it was, now that so many timing devices adjust themselves automatically or may be set to do so, but ti's still utterly unnecessary and benefits no one.

He does, I believe, have a man to wind his clocks, but I'm not sure he's allowed to move the hands. (Probably an H & S thingy?)

You don't have to move the hands. Leave them as they are. Your clock will be right for approx half the time. For the other half you have an excuse for being up to an hour late - or is it early? - no odds. Win win situation. It's called 'Irish Time'.

More likely to be Time and (no) Motion, surely?

You need to keep a closer watch (ahem) on your staff; they seem to be slacking.

as far as this forum goes I have the usual problem that when logged out the time is GMT+1, but logged in it is GMT.

                    Groan.

........But you do need to make sure they are not on the wind up.

If we are off topic, I'm sure we will get a ticking off.

That wouldn't do for Mr Ferneyhough, now, would it?...

If I may chime in with my two cents' worth, I'd suggest that some of the above are mere second-hand jokes.

Time to resurrect this thread, I fear.
Is it just my iPad, or have others noticed that since the hour change sometimes the times are GMT and other times they are GMT+1?
                              Very disconcerting!

I have to admit that for the first time in a long and unsuccessful life I managed to go entirely through Sunday and turn up for the gym on Monday morning an hour too early before realising it was the weekend the clocks fell back.

I hastened to the forum at the earliest possible moment to check whether I was supposed to do anything to the clock: as far as I can see : All times are GMT. The time now is 16:59.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
