Anyone else here had trouble with this nasty little shortcut getting installed, univited, on their PC lately? It does appear to be just a pair of shortcuts leading to a URL via IE (which I have installed but very rarely actually use. Not that that stops the damned Quickstores shortcut cutting in to display unwanted sites). However, since it appeared on my laptop yesterday (I did a fair bit of updating of internet protection and oher software yesterday) my Internet access had slowed to a pace close to static. I have now deleted the 2 shortcuts and everything seems to be back to normal.
Oh, I should point out that I am using XP SP3. I think the Quickstores toolbars problem may be a bit more difficult to deal with in Windows 7.
