Following Jayne's excellent instructions about how to use imgur I managed to get a picture to load but 'small thumbnail' was too big. Now trying small square instead.
Perfect! If you see a packet of these Bird of Paradise seeds on sale on holiday don't bother. All the old ladies who ever knew how to grow plants like these from seed are now dying off
It's been some time since I visited the Tropical Plants House at Kew!
We had a Strelitzia in a large pot on the Living Room window sill for about eight years - for seven of them it did nothing but sit in a green sulk and made opening and closing the curtains an act requiring considerable choreography - and then it burst into spectacular flower: really worth the wait. The effort was too much for it, however, and after a couple of years of forlorn hoping that the brown mass of leaves in the pot would turn green again, it was laid to rest in the compost heap.

HELP!!! I don't seem to be able to post pics any more. IMGUR which I have used (with difficulty) doesn't seem to have a 'message board' facility any more. Or am I being stupid? Can anyone suggest a nice simple procedure that even a dimwit like me can navigate?
OK. I know you guys are getting fed up with my stupidity. BUT...when I've got the image I want on Imgur, how the hell do I get that list on the right which includes a 'forum' option?

Click on the image you want to post. Then, that picture will appear in a new window, by itself, with the list of options on the right. The list will not appear until you've chosen your picture. Choose the "message boards and forums" one near the bottom. If it turns out too big, you can choose one of the other options at the bottom - Big square, thumbnail etc. - before clicking on the "message boards and forums" button. There is of course an X in the top right of the new window for closing it when you've finished with that image. Hope this helps!
Nope. It doesn't do that any more. All that happens when I click on the picture is that it enlarges to full-screen; another click goes back to normal Just can't get that list to appear.
