Odd message while posting?

    Odd message while posting?

    I have recently noticed an odd message, like the one below, while posting to this forum:

    You have selected 1 post that is not part of this thread. Quote this post as well, or deselect this post.

    I don't know what this means, or how it happens. I certainly haven't done anything consciously different with recent posts.

    May be a glitch though on the surface it sounds as if you checked a box against a post (I can do this but I'm not sure non hosts/moderators can??) and then went off to read a different thread and, um, no that doesn't sound a likely scenario. Can't help, I'm afraid - the messages I get are usually considerably snottier: "You are trying to move a post to a thread that it's already in: this seems unlikely to achieve much."
    It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

      Thanks. I assumed a glitch, but it's happened a few times recently. I'll probably figure out how to remove this "issue" - though it doesn't appear to actually affect any post.
