You're on the right lines there, Lord G. I can't explain exactly what happens but an avatar it was, judging from the screenshot. At any rate, it appears to be the iPad rather than the forum itself.

Please excuse me for interrupting this nostalgia, but I was asking a serious question about the aappearance of the forum page on my iPad and I wondered whether anyone had experienced the same problem. All suggestions gratefully received.

I have an apple ipad and I've not had any problems. Most odd. Hope it gets resolved soon.
