1. I don't like jazz. Much.
2. unsung Italian composers? mmm .. I don't go much further than Luigi Nono.
3. I'm a Chelsea fan. Can't stand Italian football!
Nobody's perfect! Except you will occasionally find one or to here that get close!!
Actually I was wondering why you don't call it The BBC Radio 3 forum.... perhaps you're not allowed?
Hello '64. And welcome from me. Well if we called ourselves the BBC Radio 3 forum, it might suggest we were part of the BBC. Historically, a lot of us did post on the old BBC messageboards, but they were closed three years ago.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Hello - new here but not new to Radio 3. Very pleased to have found this forum.
Out of interest, how did you find this forum? I recently found it when the January schedule changes were announced and I googled in search of media coverage and comment, and stumbled upon this Forum!
I'm very open on the subject of jazz - just never found the right.....thing. Any suggestions?
Greetings from across the border (Italy is only about 6 miles away from me as the crow flies although you'd have to climb to over 2,500 metres to get to it. My suggestion on jazz is to read Stanfordian's posts on "What are you listening to now?" in 'Talking About Music' - and then try and copy his listening. I don't think that he minds - and doing so has certainly widened my musical horizons.
Welcome from me too. Many message boards can be unpleasant and vulgar places. Fortunately here on the FoR3 forum you will find fascinating and refined discussion.
....Raaaaaaaaather.... some of the contributions are like a feather on an ornate hat....and some are purified by fine mesh of some of the finest education in the land, but others less so....I like to think mine make no fine distinctions; being only refined by a #40 mesh....I think all would agree....innit
