If there was one thing that prevented me from giving Lat's posts the full attention they deserved it was the, erm, inordinate length issue. But, Lat, if you're reading this, I retire this month, will have more time, so's now the time for you to return . Perhaps we could meet half way . We did have the odd polite disagreement, e.g. on Sky-related matters, but the sincere and heartfelt nature of your posts, as well as their well-researched basis, always shone through.

I'm sorry to hear of his problems and I hope these are resolved happily soon, but I'm glad Lat's thinking of rejoining us - he is much missed.

Fully concur with this (although I suspect that my disagreements might have come across as less than polite ). Lats posts were always passionately felt & not posted to make a cheap point; I hope he does feel that he can return.
