I assumed that it was concerts members had attended that was meant. Although that is likely to be rather London-centric, & therefore rather a limited discussion. At least the Proms can be heard through-out the UK.

      Oh yes

My only excuse is that when I saw the 'Jazz' & 'World music' headings I decided the rest of it wasn't going to be of any interest to me & didn't look any further.

The BBC were honest enough to tell us that yesterday's Opera on 3 was intended to be a live relay, but was in fact a recording of Tuesday,s performance as one of the singers was unwell and not confident of giving his best for the transmission.

I would certainly welcome a separate Proms Forum from say April to end of September. I do hope those posters who suddenly came alive during the Proms season manage to find their way here.

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I had a nice Spanish cheese from our local Spanish deli a couple of days ago: Valdeón - a blue cheese wrapped in sycamore leaves.

We needed a way to express our true love for Cathedral City cheese. Here's what went down behind the scenes. Including the outtakes...You can find the origin...

Well, if you will buy it in 1lb slabs. 100g gives me 10 portions.
