FF - thanks for setting up these boards.

I think everyone should show their appreciation for your efforts (and contempt for the BBC's actions) by abandoning the BBC boards altogether now, so that we cut them off, rather than vice-versa!

Permission to speak, sir! There's been no need to panic after all. Following a highly unwelcome office relocation last year I was fearful that this one would be as difficult.

Very many thanks to FF and all involved. Bravo!

Ah, Petroiushka ood to see you here!! May these boards live long and prosper!! Thank you ever so, FF!

BTW, on R3OK, FF, they have a number of moderators, and they have anelection(Ithink) every year. I don't knpow if this helps for the longer term?

Welcome aboard Petrushka. As relocations go, this one was pretty straightforward. And g'day to you BBM.

Greetings to all from the sunny island of Malta. I am aware of the arctic conditions over there - hope you're all coping!

Repeating ad nauseam as others have done, my thanks to ff for setting this member's board up. If I learn half as much as I did on the old Performance board from others much more qualified (and intelligent) than I, then I shall be very happy. Of course, I remain a stowaway, getting a free ride on these boards tthat I pay nothing towards, either in taxes or licence fees .

            Best wishes

            Mario

Have done just that Andrew, have expunged them from my list of favourites. I felt quite gloomy for a day or two but an delighted with the new surroundings and am delighted so many old friends and acquaintances have managed the leap through cyberspace. As I've already said on another thread here's to ff

In the end, it should be what the community wants. I have some ideas which r3ok hasn't, I think, thought of, and which might suit our set-up better.

Once the distractions The Other Place have departed, not without sorrow, on Tuesday we/you can think about what can be done.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

(We are only nutters because we had a dose of CE, in my case a non fatal dose ...)

Welcome Fred. Thank you FF. I will watch out for the ideas!! I have no excuse now for typos as there is a facility on these boards for that!! :)

As these boards don't have the constraints that the BBC R3 boards have, it would be good to have 'meet ups'?

By the way, where are you going?
