Hi, folks! Very new newbie here. Seething, impotent rage at the rapid slide of R2.5/2.25 led me to Google my way to your wonderful site. I've been a staunch listener to R3 and an ale drinker for forty years and I don't know what has me saddened more: the dilution of quality programming on this station or the fact that we are losing 16 pubs a week!

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.

And will you please welcome the return of Mr Des Pond of Slough, late of the old place, who has finally found us! We look forward to some more fun
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

All right, he's Despina dello Stagno, but we all know he's really ... Des Pond (of Slough). For one thing his bio mentions that he was a cub - not a Brownie!

I do hope he'll join doversoul in boosting the Early Music discussion.

Hello. I joined when this forum when it was originally set up. Since then I've changed my email address and forgotten several passwords so I thought I'd better start again from scratch. My old username was Parddu and before that I was MrsAnonIII on the old BBC Radio 3 message boards.
                      Merry Christmas to all.

Hello. I used to be a member of the R3 boards. Just found this place. I had various names.
