Thanks for posting this, Russ. It's good to see that there are some programmes at least which go beyond a purely Anglocentric perspective on the war and look at the effects in other countries. The series Long Shadow presented by David Reynolds, and the radio series on the effects in different countries, The War That Changed The World, look particularly interesting (the latter might be better heard in the World Service versions rather than the abbreviated R3 essays).
