    Friday 13th

That is, Friday 13th September, the forum had its highest number of posts ever in a single day - 638. The previous highest was the Jubilee holiday, whenever that was, with 624, mostly people jeering at the BBC Thames regatta coverage, if I remember. Can't think what people found to talk about on the 13th though.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

It was the day you posted One TEMS Fewer
The Early Music Show, Early Music Late; Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and HIPP on Radio 3 and elsewhere

It would be nice to think/imagine that the news of Saturday Early Music Show being axed caused a massive protest.

Why is "Currently Active Users" in "What's Going On?" still showing:

"Most users ever online was 429, 03-08-11 at 18:35."

That's how many people were online at a given moment (including non members), whereas the number of posts made covers 24 hours. There is also a figure, from memory usually about 140-160, which is the number of logged-in members on any one day.

The attacks by spambots seem to have died down with our new add-on/plug-in (or whatever), but there are always, at any given moment, roughly twice as many 'visitors' as logged-in members.

Funny, my daily average is apparently 0.93 posts but I seem to have made 12 that day - demise of EMS (3), old instruments (2), Hyperion (2), being well dressed (2) and Voyager (3).
