Well it's a very small bit of a faff, surely... I mean, I don't like it but I suppose if it keeps the moaners happy it's better than nothing.

I assume that that's what ff was intending, in the hope that it would die a death.

No they don't - or I don't. It produces exactly the same result as clicking on 'New Posts', with no mention of the new thread you (or Caliban?) refer to.

Its in the left hand margin of Main Forum Page under other links....But when you are on P&CA sub-board if you refresh by new post it takes you unfortunately back to the ordinary main 'new posts' page....

Yes, but it doesn't indicate any new activity.

under Other Links... on the home page

Which can be obtained by clicking on The Radio 3 Forum at the top of this page.

(Don't worry - I've only just found my way to it)

You can just use the 'breadcrumbs' at the top of the page. Most people have tabbed browsers: they can keep one window open for that forum so that you don't have to keep going through the routine.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

'Breadcrumbs'? Shouldn't they be in The Refreshment Room?

Not virtual ones - they're not filling or nourishing enough.

I have to admit that until now I had no idea that "What's New?" took you to a list of recent posts across all boards. I just go to the main page and dip into what looks as if it might be interesting, and/or threads I've already posted in. So now I can sort of understand why some might think people were posting on P&CA to be seen by any casual visitor. I had no idea. I only posted there because I think it's important to discuss those issues. It's not the removal of P&CA to a sidebar as such that bothers me, so much as the suggestion that talking about politics and society is somehow a different kind of thing from talking about music, which I don't think is the case since I seem to agree and disagree with (or ignore) many of the same people whatever the subject might be...

Is it really the case that "New Posts" does not produce a list of recent posts on all parts of the forum site?
