They can't actually (if my informant is correct and the system is working which it was this morning). The Diversions Forum remains open and people are free to continue their learned discussions there out of sight as long as they know the url (and usually I leave a link). But the Diversions Closed threads are password protected, so although the posts are still in the database, they can't be accessed either by the public or by members not logged in or who have forgotten (if they ever knew) the password. It is not crawled by search engines either.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Hmmmm do you really think that is not true GG ??....the subject has been looked at and written about many times....we piggyback on FoR3....I'm sure ff fields many a disgruntled member of FoR3 offering resignation from FoR3 due to reasons residing in R3ForumMbs....

How is that hidden, or password protected? The abuse remains.

Edit: you need to be logged in as a member. But no password is required. I still don't understand why, if a thread is deleted, it isn't simply deleted.
But that's a thread ABOUT the 'deleted thread' [recte 'removed thread'], not the thread itself where the abusive posts were. If there's another one which you objected to, complain but at a quick look I can only see me being walloped and others being referred to.
