Yes, today two years ago is when we opened for general business - with 116 posts. Our record number of posts in one day was - would you believe? - the Jubilee Bank Holiday Monday, with 624 (that river pageant, eh?). We're currently averaging roughly 350-450 pd, 10,000 pm.It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Many thanks to FF and everyone on these Boards and here's to the next few years. I don't know what I'd do without my daily fix of FoR3.

Seconded all these positive tributes. I dont pop up all that often because most of the topics are ones where I have nothing useful to say. But occasionally, eg Ash Dieback, I do have a tuppence worth to add. Long live the forum. A quote from Voltaire would be appropriate, except that I cant find it. But it goes something like this:
'Monsieur, I disagree with everything you say, and will defend to my death your right to say it.'
Science will die when that is no longer true.

A day late also...I'd like to add my thanks and best wishes to French Frank for setting up this forum and keeping us all in good order. I very much enjoy being a long-distance member of this forum. Best wishes, marthe

Congrats to all!
Two years. It’s a long time if you think about it!
And even if you don’t think about it it’s a long time!
